Intimate Landscapes by Charlotte Gibbs: Monday June 29 at 1:00 PM
To All Workshop Registrants,
SPC held the first session of the on-line workshop, Intimate Landscapes, on Monday, June 29.
Ten club members participated in this workshop. One club member participant had this to say about the workshop:
”I thought the presenter nailed it. She obviously knew the material inside and out. The examples she used to illustrate her points were good and the way she presented them helped illustrate what she was trying to show. To one with no formal art training there was a huge amount of material covered. I'm really glad we made a recording since I could envision watching the presentation multiple times to get a clear understanding of all the material she presented.”
Our next on-line workshop, FINE ART BLACK & WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY, is scheduled for August 4 and 21. In this workshop you will learn to take images like this one:
This workshop will be led by Athena Carey who is a multi-award-winning fine art travel photographer.
Carey teaches an on-line Black & White course for the Bryan Petersen School of Photography. Here is what a professional photographer had to say about her class:
“I want to tell anyone who is considering taking an online black and white class such as Athena Carey's, Take it! …..It is all about capturing the image in color, but seeing the image in the tones of Black and White. Thanks to Athena and her style of instruction, I now have a better understanding of the process of relating color to black and white.” Joe Reusser (California)
You can view Athena Carey's work at her website: https://www.athenacarey.com/
This workshop costs $75 and is filling up fast. If you want to register for this workshop or want more information about the program contact Jacques Wood, Chair of SPC’s Workshops Committee by email below.
